Well summertime is in full swing here at Grand Lake and what a whirlwind it has been so far.
I can’t remember seeing so many people in Langley on a holiday weekend.
Whew! I’m exhausted, but I’m happy!!!
I did get the bedroom finished on Monday with help from my sister and Jim, just in time for Jim’s cousin Peggy and her granddaughter to arrive Tuesday evening.
They stayed one night and then daughter, Christy and Josh and grandkids are coming in from California on the 9th and son Donnie and his group are coming from OKC.
It isn’t often that we get to have all the grandkids at one time. Yippee!!
So the much needed rain was a blessing this week, even though it almost made a mess out of the July 4th festivities.
Having a huge downpour two hours before blast off was a bit nerve racking, but it turned out OK.
I was happy because I didn’t have to water the entire weekend. Another yippee!!
And all of our Saturday Market growers were happy about the rain too.
That means we will have lots of fresh vegetables this weekend, onions, potatoes, squashes, cucumbers, green beans, beets, peppers, blackberries, and finally, tomatoes!
Real home grown tomatoes, not store bought and repackaged!
Add that to the pork, beef, eggs, pies, cookies, salsa, hummus, yogurt salad, jewelry, and pottery, and we’ve got some fun going on so come and see us!
Enjoy the earth! Diana
